the Holi effect

A little old lady with purple hair.

Elephant trafficing

I realise it's a little cliched showing elephants on main roads in India, but even after 2 years, it still blows my mind. This ellie was sitting in traffic like the rest of us.

New bench, I love you

Our new balcony bench. How beautiful is it?
In a city where barker lounges are still cool, a furniture and wood lover needs a little trick to make home, well, home. This is from one of my favourite place in Delhi. It seems to be the 'source of the Nile' (as my dad calls it) for all the antique furniture shops around the world.

The coolest cats on the promenade

I HAD to post this photo. Even though it's not in Delhi, it kinda has an Indian comfort-ability about it. 'I am me and I will do what I want, even if it's going for a walk in my boxers on the Cape town promenade with a big brown umbrella.'

I respect Pedestrian's right

I love this sign.

Firstly, only one right? Which right? the right to freedom of speech? The right to cross the road to get to the other side? The right to be knocked over? Anyway, it doesn't matter which it is, there is still only one of them. And I respect it too.

Secondly, in Delhi respecting pedestrians is unusual. I think this might be because of the huge population and the seeming little respect for life in Delhi. I have personally almost be knocked over a lot of times.

Party time.

The cat threw a party. No one came

Dawgs

Let them lie.

Let them swim.

One day...

I love how people recycle things, give them a new use that I would never expect. This photo was taken on MG road - from Delhi to Gurgain - a crappy road, under the new metro, which isn't crappy. One day, I will have this in my house.

What a shirt!
