The Himalayan Road signs

On the drive from Leh to Pangong Lake, I spent the full 4 hour trip hanging out the window with my camera, trying to capture the awesome road signs while we raced past them at sound barrier speeds.

I unfortunately missed 2 of my favourites:
Speed is the knife that cuts life.
I love you, but not so fast.

  1. Hi! Thanks a lot for this post! We did the Manali-Leh route on bikes, so we couldn't stop by every sign to take pictures and I sooo wanted to have them all.

But you missed some really cool ones, I can add to your collection.

Anyway - if you're based in GGN, would love to catch up sometime. You can find me on www.dillinet.ning.com - a network I just started. Would love to see you there & in reality soon.. ;) Thanks again!

  3. Unique and inspiring messages. Hmm, I liked the message that says, "Safety is the light, let it shine." Is it really painted on that huge rock? It can't see it immediately, but once you do, you'll probably stare at it. Thanks for sharing those photos, btw.
